working at full capacity

So, apparently being relatively responsibility free soaking up sun in Palm Desert agrees with me and allows my brain to work at full capacity.  Kev and his mom are good at Scrabble.  We are talking crazy good.  Like, when I first married Kevin and would play with him and his mother I would end the game hanging my head in shame and embarrassment at the fact that they would beat me by over a hundred points.  They could find words anywhere, use extra little two letter words within a word, and I would just think, "How did they just do that?"

Fast forward seven years and guess who won not just once, but twice on our little getaway to Palm Desert?  That's right, me!  Now it must be said that I did get some pretty awesome letters at some pretty awesome times, but I also managed to actually use those letters in decent words.  That is usually the hard part for me.  In each of the games I won I had seven letter words.  Kevin regularly finds ways to lay down seven letter words in games, but for me it is still an exciting and new thing.  I have actually only beat Kevin about four times in our married life including these two, so yeah, only twice in seven years before this!  I'm smart, but the man is so amazing at this game.  When I win, it is a big deal, so yes I DO take a picture, thank you very much! 

Here it is, my first winning game in years!  The fact that I was able to win tonight as well?  Well that's just the cherry on top.
