Well, I'm home again today. It's about 7:10 a.m. and I just got off the phone with my TOC-teacher on call. Luckily, the same girl that came in for me halfway through the day on Monday can fill in for me again today. This is the most frustrating thing for me. Just when I think I'm getting better it hits me again. Last night I actually had dinner and I even ate a piece of the cake I had made two nights ago for our small group. It all seemed like it was going so well and then WHAM...right when I went to bed I was hit with the same yucky illness. It now feels worse this morning than it did yesterday! When will this EVER go away! Sorry, I know I shouldn't be complaining, especially when my brother-in-law is in the hospital recovering from an appendectomy but I'm more frustrated than anything.
It's very tough to miss work as a teacher. Especially a Spanish teacher. There are no TOCs that actually KNOW Spanish so I always have to come up with some sort of fluff work for the students to do. It feels as though their progress is grinding to a halt. I shouldn't be too worried, because they are actually AHEAD of where the classes were last year. When I arrived at school yesterday, though, it just seemed like things were chaotic. You remember how it was...you always LOVED the days you had a substitute teacher because you thought it meant you wouldn't have to do any work! Well, my students have worksheets to do, which I'm sure they just LOVE, but it's still not the same as a lesson.
Oh well, I'll stop complaining now. I have to run...literally. That special place is calling my name!

Oh Stacy...yucky! You should go to the doctor (I know I'm being all motherly here) but you've had it for a while, right?? Just get checked out to be sure ;) I want you to get better! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree with Nicole. You don't want to go too long with that problem. You are going on a week now. When you've had nothing stick in your system, you are going to get very weak. Use that great healthcare you are always talking about up there and go see a doctor so we don't worry about you!
