A Mother's Day Blessing

Yesterday was Mother's Day. I was blessed to receive many Happy Mother's Day wishes from friends near and far. In a way, it felt odd, because I don't actually have a child in my arms, yet I am a mother! I am a mother three times over, and although I don't actually get to meet two of those children until the future, I love them none the less.

I am so thankful for this little one. We have had a bit of a roller coaster ride emotionally, especially me, but as the time to the birth gets closer, I find myself getting more and more excited, and dreaming a little bit more about the future.

I can say that I truly did enjoy Mother's Day! One of the best parts was the incredible gift that our dear friends, Chris and Seren, made for us.

I had sent them photos of the ultrasounds as they were done. Serenity always asked for them, saying that she loved looking at pictures of Baby Sowerby. Little did I know what they were really doing! They printed them up, and on the most recent they superimposed the verse from Psalm 139:13-14:

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

These verses have been important to us in this pregnancy, and they even had part of Psalm 139:13 engraved on the frame. It is simply beautiful, and I love it, and especially the thought that went into making it. I am so excited to get the nursery organized and find the perfect place for this amazing gift.

Happy Mother's Day-a bit late-to all of those mothers, mothers to be, and those desiring to be mothers.
