Sweet Kev

Kevin is such a great husband. Today he was so sweet in little ways. He was out and about in the morning, and when he came home and saw I wasn't feeling well he went into "take care of Stacy and make her smile" mode. He's very good at this!

He started by giving me lots of hugs and saying that he was sorry I wasn't feeling well. Then he took me out for a late lunch and even shared his fries with me since I didn't want to eat an entire thing of fries by myself. Sometimes, though, you just need some fries! Then he said, "Do you want a treat?" and went up to the counter and came back with a frozen yogurt for me! Just the treat I needed!

After lunch, we were off to run errands. At the grocery store we were looking for stuff to go with our tiny roast for dinner tonight and Kevin, knowing how much I love cherry tomatoes, grabbed one of the little containers of them. Usually I don't buy them because they are so expensive, but he wanted me to have them, and even urged me to get the larger container, knowing I would be sure to eat them up since I love them so much!

On our way from the grocery store to the next stop, he pulled in to Starbucks and got me a delicious decaf treat, and even topped up my Starbucks' card! I recently was sent a Starbucks' Gold card in the mail-I think it was a random thing-and 2% of my purchases go back on my card. It's not much, but better than 0% and now that my card is all topped up I will be set for coffee for awhile after this wee one is born!

He then patiently walked through Babies R Us with me while I looked for a smaller changing pad-we were unsuccessful-and looked through Babies World as well, even pausing to look at the strollers as we continued the debate of which jogging stroller we should purchase.

Tonight was a nice night of just chilling at home, he rubbed my back, snuggled with me on the couch, and did all of the dishes from dinner. I love the every day moments that we have together...they have always been special to me.

To most people this wouldn't seem like that special of a day, but to me it was another reminder of how great and supportive my husband is. I'm so happy to have him in my life, and one of the things I'm most looking forward to with the birth of this baby is seeing Kevin with the baby...he's going to be an amazing dad!
