Today we had a wonderful opportunity. The Vancouver Canucks organization opened up GM Place for a Family Skate Day for season ticket holders and those on the waiting list for season tickets. While Kevin and I are neither of those things, his friend Clarence is, and was able to get us in for the day. The entire event was completely free, and so well done!

We were able to park right under GM Place and take the elevator to ice level. They had hot chocolate, popcorn, coffee, water, and best of all, the ice! They allowed each group one hour, and then brought in another group, so there weren't a lot of people. We strapped Rusty on to Kevin with the Baby Bjorn and they were off! I even skated for the first time in 8 years and did pretty well!

Waiting our turn to enter the game
We had chances to sit on the bench, go in the Canucks dressing room, and just had a great time skating around where little boys' heroes skate! I can't wait to show Rusty these pictures some day and tell him that his first skate was at GM Place! Thanks Clarence!
Wow, cool! I don't even own skates anymore!
