Tonight I officially became a Tupperware Girl. It started on a whim. I was at the mall with my sister while she was visiting, and we came across a Tupperware kiosk. We were both shocked to see Tupperware being sold in the mall, we didn't really know that was possible.
We both grew up on Tupperware, but I haven't bought any in my own adult life. It's kind of pricey, and I was making do with the Glad containers and such. There are some things, though, that I have always wanted that Tupperware just does so well. I looked at the kiosk with longing, and Adrienne started raving about it. She has a few of the products and talked about how great they were. The sales lady that was working took my name and suggested that perhaps I have a party. I gave the usual non-commitment answer of "Sure, maybe!" fully intending to NOT have the party.
Then, a week later, she called me. It sounded so great! I thought maybe I would have this party so I booked a date and then something came up and I had to cancel it. She called to redate the party, so I did, somewhat begrudgingly. Man, am I glad that party date came through!
The saleslady was awesome. She turned out to be this really sweet lady that is so great to talk to. I enjoyed just hanging out with her for the half hour she was here beforehand setting everything up. The party was great. Ten awesome people came and in the end I was able to get about $260 worth of product for just $42! $42!!! I got the two things I had really wanted, both at half price because I had a good party, and I also got the entire freezer Mate set FOR FREE! FREE! I am a convert now.
I won't be a salesperson, ever, that is SOOOO not me, but I'm so thrilled with the results. It was also really fun to just see everyone! Thanks to all of my friends that came, I know a lot of you read this blog. I enjoyed seeing you, and I'm so excited about my Freezer Mate set, my Round Cake Taker, my Serving Center, my vent and serve container, and even my mini round ball keychain! I'm looking forward to attending the parties that were booked tonight.
I have officially turned into a Tupperware Girl.
I have become schooled in the world of Tupperware because Sarah started selling it this year! There was no Tupperware rep in our area, so she decided to sign-on. She has had a lot of fun doing it.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever need more Tupperware or have any problems, let her know and she can definitely hook you up!

I remember my mom going to Tupperware parties as a kid and eating on the orange and green plates growing up (definitely from the 70s!). It seems like I've seen more Pampered Chef as an adult than anything else but I've always wondered if you could still get Tupperware...it seemed to last forever!
ReplyDeleteYay!!! Tupperware! =)
