It all worked out so great! We got there with just enough time to get set up and feed Rusty some breakfast before the flame came through. I got a little emotional! It was just so neat to experience the pride of everyone there and to see this flame that had come all the way from Greece! It was a pretty powerful moment! After it came through Kevin had to get to work, so Rusty and I made our way to the local celebration site and met up with Kev's parents. There was a large crowd and a lot going on! We saw many different performances, took in the excitement, and had a great time. Rusty was thrilled to spend the time in his Papa's arms, and we got to take our picture with a few different torch bearers as well! It was a pretty thrilling time and we had a lot of fun. The rain came at the end, and sent us home, but the torch had already moved on to the next location so the timing was perfect. It was wonderful to spend that time with Kev's parents and have someone important in our lives to share this amazing moment with!
Aw, I'm jealous! What a unique experience! Caden will have the pictures to prove it one day. ;)
