I'm having a great time here in South Dakota. My flights went very well! On the first flight to Las Vegas I had a good time sitting on Daddy's lap and I really liked staying at Uncle Bob and Aunt Gail's house. They are so nice to me and they had two doggies that I really liked! I slept okay that night, but at about 3 a.m. I was getting pretty restless so Mommy and Daddy had to share their bed with me. I like to flop around a lot, A LOT, so they were pretty tired the next morning. I had some yummy Apple Jacks for breakfast on the way to the airport and was really good going through security. Mommy and Daddy were SO happy to see that there was a row on the flight with an extra seat! I got to sit in my very own seat and it was so much fun. Mommy and Daddy set up the laptop and I got to watch Dora with my headphones on. I really liked that. I also had lots of snacks. We finally landed in South Dakota and I was ready to RUN! Mommy and Daddy could barely keep up with me in the airport!
The first day we went straight to Aunt Candy's house. I had so a really good time playing with cousin A, and we played outside on the deck. I really liked Aunt Candy's dog, Sammy. I could throw the frisbee and Sammy caught it in the air. I really giggled at that...he was soooo funny! Uncle Alex made these really yummy burgers for dinner and I said they were "NUMMY!"
That night when we got to Grandpa and Grandma's house I was having so much fun. I was so happy to see Grandpa that I ran to him and hugged him very, very tight! I went right to bed because I was so tired.
The next morning when I woke up Uncle Neil and Aunt Samantha were there! They had arrived while I was sleeping! They went on a long hike with Mommy and Daddy that morning, they climbed Bear Butte. It was a two mile hike up and back, and poor Daddy got a bit of a sunburn. They had fun though, and declared it was a good workout!
When they came back, I was excited to spend some time with Uncle Neil...I would shout "UNCA NEIL!!!" That night was my birthday party and it was a lot of fun! Grandma made me a very special meal of prime rib and lots of other yummy things...you will be so surprised, I ate mashed potatoes! Can you believe it? Maybe it was the cheese in them, but Mommy and Daddy were surprised too! The prime rib was good, but Mommy and Daddy had to say that it was prime rib hot dog to get me to try it the first time. Then I ate it all!
Grandma and Mommy made me some special cakes. They asked me what kind of cake I wanted and I said, "A ball!" They made me a cake with a soccer ball, a football and a hockey puck and stick! I really liked it. I got some neat presents, and even my own set of keys! I like the way they go BEEP BEEP and they have a flashlight too. It was such a fun party, and I really loved opening the presents. One thing that we discovered was that there is an ice cream I like...Grandpa's homemade ice cream! When Mommy asked me what my favorite part of the day was, I said, "Papa's ice cream...nummy!" I even told Grandpa thank you for the ice cream without being asked...I really like it! I had some more tonight before bed.
Yesterday I stayed home from church to spend some more time with Uncle Neil and Aunt Samantha because they had to leave that afternoon. I think they are so much fun. Uncle Neil takes time to spend with me and he read me books and wrestled me and I just would shout, "UNCA NEIL!" all of the time. I was sad when they left, and even today I was standing at the door saying "Unca Neil all gone." Then yesterday afternoon Aunt Candy, Uncle Alex and A came over and Aunt Candy made some yummy cookies. A and I played a lot. We had so much fun! We would push a button on a toy that makes music, and then twirl and dance together and fall down on the floor and yell "Ouchie!!" We giggled and giggled! We had a bath together and I really love being with my family here.
Today was a really fun day. I went golfing with Grandpa, Grandma, Daddy and Mommy. I made it all the way through nine holes! I had so much fun driving the golf cart, and I even got to hit the ball into the hole. Grandma had brought me my own golf clubs. I was so happy to be there! Whenever Daddy, Grandpa, or Mommy hit the ball I would run to them and hug them and say "GOOD SHOT!" I also learned to sit and wait quietly when someone was hitting. Sometimes I even put my finger up to my mouth and said, "SHHHH!" Grandma played with me when I got bored and helped me climb on rocks and branches. I had snacks and lots of water because it was sooo hot!
This afternoon after my nap I played in the little swimming pool and had fun with the little kitties! Grandma and Grandpa have so many little kittens and they are so cute and I love to pet them. Tonight I was hugging one of them so tight that he ran away! He came back later for more loving though. I wish I could have a kitty, but Daddy is pretty allergic so that won't happen. I guess I will just enjoy them when I am here visiting! Tonight for dinner we had chicken and CORN! The corn was fresh, local corn and you know how much I love that! I gobbled it right up and then Grandpa took me outside to ride on his John Deere lawn tractor. It was so fun. He let me drive it all over, even into the field. I came in really excited to tell Daddy about it when I came inside.
I am having so much fun, Nana and Papa! I know that you love me and miss me, and I miss you too. It is fun to be with my family here, and I know that I am really blessed to have so many people that love me so much in life! I will write you another letter soon! Love you and miss you!
