This weekend the hubby and I are having a little getaway. It's not to anyplace special, but it is special to me. It's a celebration of sorts. Tomorrow is my last day of work, and everything that I have done in the last week means that tomorrow when I drive away I will be free and clear of work...that's going to feel good.
We ordered Pickle's new mattress for the crib about a month ago from Walmart.com and it is now in at the store. We knew we needed to go and pick it up, so we decided to make a weekend of it. We will be staying overnight on Saturday night, and I'm so thrilled to have that time with my man! Rusty is going to be staying home with Nana and Papa, something that I am sure he will be thrilled about, as he loves them more than we ever knew was possible! Any time that he spends with them is good time, and we know that we will have a great time being able to focus just on one another. We just hope that I don't go into labour, as technically I shouldn't be crossing the border this far along.
We plan to do some shopping, have a nice dinner, and we're staying in a hotel we have stayed in before and loved-although Kev got it at a deal of just $40 a night thanks to a savings his friend passed on to us...sweet! Mostly, I just really want to spend some one on one time with my man. It seems like we have really been running different directions lately, and I miss him. I can't wait to simply focus on him, talk to him, hold his hand in the car...even riding in the same car will be a treat! I'm definitely looking forward to it. Less than 48 hours and counting...
