Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Our little Rusty is almost five and we decided to celebrate in a way that we knew he would love...at a sporting event.  Rusty LOVES sports...he takes after his dad there.  It is amazing how much he remembers about various teams, especially his ultimate love, HOCKEY!

Of course there are no hockey games in the summer-much to his dismay-but he has really started to enjoy baseball lately.  We decided to head to a Canadians' game with some of his closest friends to celebrate.  We had a lovely picnic in the park before heading over to the game and Rusty was spoiled with some wonderful gifts.  His two favorite gifts were his Toronto Blue Jays gear and the FULL GOALIE SET his dear auntie spoiled him with!  He has been out practicing daily.  My worst fear of him being a goalie just may become a reality-he got a 10 to 0 shutout against the neighbor boys the other day!
