The Petition

My students make me laugh every day. Today I was teaching away during block A, which is Spanish 11. It's a great class...the second year I have had these kids. They are so enthusiastic all of the time. I was teaching about the placement of indirect object pronouns when suddenly, the girl at the front of the last row handed me a sheet of paper. On the paper was written:

Petition
We as a grade 11 Spanish class would like to pursue the opportunity of visiting a Spanish-speaking country next year, as a school-sanctioned trip.
Then, below that statement were all of their signatures. I started laughing out loud. They are so hilarious. This is something we have talked about for awhile, and the school IS taking a four week tour of Germany, France, and Spain this summer as a Modern Languages trip. I'm going as a chaperone. These students, however, want a SPANISH only trip!
We'll see what happens. Aren't they funny? I love their creativity...it makes my day.
