Today, I had a great, warm, sunshiney day. I took two of my classes outside to work in the afternoon-yep, I'm that cool teacher that lets the kids go outside. Mostly it's for me. I can't stand the thought of being inside those cinder block walls when the sun is shining so brightly outside. If we are doing something that can be taught outside, I try to make it happen. Surprisingly, they all did work very hard, and didn't abuse the time at all! Yay! Go, my fantastic students!
The drive home was a dream, because the sun was shining into the car, I had my sunglasses on, and a dear friend was in the car with me, bringing with her great conversation and joy!
Once home, Kevin and I decided it was time to break out the grill. We've been wanting to do it for awhile, but the weather has kind of stopped us from that. Kevin pulled out the cleaner and wiped it all down while I marinated the delicious chicken. He's been pretty handy lately! He cleaned the back room yesterday, cleaned off the bbq today...what's next??
The food was amazing! The chicken was so moist and delicious, and the flavor was excellent. Kevin put it on for just the right amount of time, which wasn't exactly determined by him! The propane ran out just as he was finished. He had cooked it to perfection. I wasn't able to eat all of mine, and I can't wait to finish it for lunch tomorrow!
I'm so happy that summer is finally on the way. I can't wait to see what this wonderful long weekend will bring!
I see you use my Method cleaner from Target...I love that stuff. I'm now laughing at how excited I get about cleaners....anyway, I too I am looking forward to summer. I'm realizing now that I took some things in Georgia for granted...like perpetual summer! Oh well, it's on its way. :)
