The Ticker

Wow, I just realized, this very moment, that my little ticker on the top of this page is now on the last spot. With only 31 days to go...approximately. I think the baby will be late, so I have more than 31 days to go, but still, one month???

I'm definitely feeling that it is a month. Today I was looking at pictures from early in the pregnancy and realizing how much I really have changed. It's good to see the progress. There really is a baby in there! I'm also noticing my fatigue levels rising. I was doing pretty good energy wise, but for some reason in the last week I have hit a bit of a wall. It seems much easier to lie on the couch and rest than get all of my gear together to go swimming, thus the reason I have not worked out at all this week. I told myself this afternoon that I am simply taking a break this week. Yeah...right! We'll see if it is just this week!

Kevin and I have done a bunch of shopping this week! The thing that makes me happy, is that we haven't even spent half of his summer school earnings, which were surprise earnings anyway. Even though teaching summer school maybe isn't always the most fun, it has definitely been easy, and he has just one more week to go. The money is definitely a bonus. In the last week we have purchased a playpen/bassinet, a stroller, a breast pump, all of the stuff needed for changing, a bathtub, bath accessories, a starter bottle kit...the list goes on and on! However, I feel much more prepared for the arrival of Baby! Yesterday after coming home from shopping for changing stuff, I cleared off, cleaned and set up our dresser as a changing table. We will have the baby in our bedroom the first month since we are moving, and I thought we might as well have the change table right there too. Kevin came home and realized, yet again, that the baby is on the way!

He has been cute the last few days. He's starting to become more restless in his sleep. He said that every time I get up-usually for the much needed bathroom break-he thinks I must be in labour. I tell him I think we still have three or four weeks, if not more, to go.

Well, I think it's time to ask my hubby to move the baby stuff to the back room. We need to organize it!
