Marley and Me

I don't normally use my blog in this manner, but this movie was too good to NOT say something!

Tonight Kev and I had a date night...his parents were craving some Rusty time and when we asked if they could take him they readily agreed, so off we were, just the two of us, to a movie. I had won some sort of bet before Christmas-neither of us could remember what it was for, just that I had won-and my prize was to pick the next movie we went to, with no complaints from my hubby! I was dead set on seeing Marley and Me.

Kevin was not so sure, as he had researched it on Rotten Tomatoes and saw it only had a 55% rating. Well, after seeing it neither of us can understand the 55%! It was so good. I cried, we laughed...we could relate to so many areas of the movie, and we don't even have a dog. It was such a beautiful picture of the growth of a family and the love that exists between them. It also made me remember how much I loved our dog, Pilgrim, growing up and how much I miss him.

We don't have a dog, but we loved this movie anyway and I would suggest it wholeheartedly to anyone that asks. In fact, I think it's one that I wouldn't even mind owning!
