The two latest words? "Puck" and "stick." A theme? I think so. We are not training him, I promise. The kid just loves hockey...what can I say? He is his father's son. Every time we go outside he asks for his "stihcck." Every time we read Z is for Zamboni he gets to the page that says P is for the Puck, points to the puck and says "puhh." Yep, that's my husband's boy!
Today he was playing with Papa, and apparently he saw a group of boys playing hockey in the cul-de-sac, wanted his stick, and was ready to play. He thinks he's a big boy. Tonight we furthered enjoyed the hockey madness with the Canucks/Oilers game. Although it didn't end the way we wanted it to, Rusty sure enjoyed the first period. We were trying to teach him not to cheer when the Oilers scored, but hey, the kid can only understand so much.
5 a.m. practices? Here we come. Huddling under the warmth of the ice rink heaters with a cup of Timmy's? Yep, it's in my future.
