Long, hot showers are a mother's best friend...and our form of "quiet and alone time."
My youngest son has a really strong grip, one that particularly loves to grip my earrings and hair...almost constantly. Lucky for him his grin makes up for it!
Dust bunnies collect endlessly. They seem to be like real bunnies...you know the saying, procreating like rabbits...well my dust bunnies have been having a "good time!"
Dandelions have super, duper strong roots. I tried digging up about 50 of them in our front yard yesterday...I think it may have been wasted time.
My new phone totally rocks...but may also have the potential to waste a lot of my time. It takes better pictures than my first digital camera. I can't believe how far technology has come in the last seven years or so!
It is hard to motivate yourself to finish home renovations when the home is "working" as is.
Laundry also seems to procreate like bunnies...it seems I can never stay ahead, and that is WITH a husband that does all of his own! (Plus he often does towels too...what is my problem??)
It is inevitable that the minute you finally decide to lie down, that maybe you actually WILL nap while the baby naps, said baby or child will certainly wake up just as you drift off to sleep. But then you will shower them with hugs and they will kiss you all over your face, so it might be ok after all.
Some days it is really nice to just stay home and do nothing...all.day.long.
Nanas and Papas (or Grandpas and Grandmas...whatever you call them) are wonderful, wonderful people in the life of a child.
A little boy snuggle really does make the world a better place.
Little boy noses seem to produce endless amounts of snot and boogers. We have never gone through so much Kleenex!
Dishes?? Yet another one of those things that procreate like bunnies...man, bunnies are hard at work around here.
Food tastes better when it is fresh.
Yoga pants are the most comfortable thing to wear...ever.
Babies smell really, really good. Somehow they even manage this when covered in spit up...just smell the top of their heads, I'm not kidding. Perfection.
When you have two little boys, the urge to put them in coordinating outfits is pretty irresistible. I'm not sure why this is. It's just so darn cute.
