Happy birthday to you!

I know he doesn't always read my blog-hey, he's a pretty busy guy-but I still have to wish him a very Happy Birthday today anyway.

Honey, I love you.  Happy birthday to you!  You are an amazing man.  I still remember meeting each other, 10 years ago now, in the San Francisco airport.  I will never forget walking behind this sexy guy with gorgeous blue eyes or the moment that you turned to me and struck up a conversation.  I will forever be grateful that God called both of us to China that year.  You are a true blessing in my life.

You are an incredible father.  I feel so thankful that my precious boys have a dad that they can look up to.  I am grateful that you are a man of integrity, and that you look to the Lord for guidance and that they will grow up knowing that.  I love that you are passionate about the things that you truly care for, and that you also know how to be funny and to have fun.  I appreciate your ability to stay strong and to not let the fears and worries of life get to you...I pray that our boys will inherit that from you.  I am always amazed at how long you can play soccer/hockey/baseball/whatever else Rusty wants to play with him in the backyard.  I love how you simply tote Rocky around and look after his needs.  I know that you will be there for our boys, that you will coach the teams, attend the games, head to the early morning hockey practices, try to never, EVER miss a game unless you can't help it because you love them.  I ADORE that when asked who is best friend is, Rusty usually says, "Daddy!"

You are a wonderful husband.  You are a helper, a true partner in our household.  I never forget how blessed I am to have a man that does his own laundry, wants to cook when I am stressed, loads up (and unloads) the dishwasher any time you see it needs done, sweeps up the crumbs...I could go on and on.  I am thankful that you like to spoil me, that you understand that the little things count, that a latte in my hand after a long night can make my day so much better, or that a snuggle and prayer/Bible time together before bed is a true and worthwhile basis for our marriage.  I like that you can still make me laugh on a daily basis and that you still tell me I am beautiful even after 6 years of marriage. I love that you laugh at my stupid antics and think they are adorable.  I enjoy our deep conversations and our times of prayer together.  I appreciate that we don't have to fight and argue to figure things out.  I think you are a great, and a loyal, friend.

I simply adore you, Kevin.  You are a great man, and I am thankful that you chose me!  Happy birthday to you, Schmoopie!  You deserve the best of days.
