October totally flew by...am I right? Maybe I just feel that way because I am already stressing about my little guy growing up and heading to daycare soon while I head back to work. I know it is the right decision for us as a family, but man this year is going fast! I just talked with the daycare lady today about filling out Rocky's paperwork and sending in his registration fees and such. *Sniff* I have almost exactly two months left with him. He begins daycare on January 2nd, with his gradual entry being that week. By the end of the week he will be full time and then I go back to work full time on January 30th. Crazy. CUH-RAZ-EE! I know that these two months are going to FLY because it is the holiday season, which always goes too fast for my liking.
I totally digressed there. Anyway, October was fast and fun. We had the Halloween party and last night enjoyed some trick or treating. Rusty and Rocky's Auntie Lee Lee-who is truly an auntie to them in all the ways that matter-got all dressed up and came for dinner and trick or treating with us. Rusty LOVES his auntie so he was pretty excited to have her along for the fun.
Rusty decided in the end to ditch the ghost costume and went full force with the giraffe. Oh well! That will teach me...in the future, take him to the store, let him pick something. He still looked adorable and kept saying that his favorite part of the costume was "this cute little tail!"
The other fun thing about the month was checking another thing off of my 101 Things list...no Starbucks for an entire month! I wanted to cut back on how many frilly drinks I was buying, so I went cold turkey for the month. I only had ONE mocha the ENTIRE month, and it was purchased for me by someone else! It proved to me that I don't "need" it nearly as often as I think I do! I did go and get one this morning though, and MAN did it taste amazing!
November is here and that means being thankful! I'm going to try to think of one thing I am thankful for each month. What are you thankful for today?
