Back at It

I am sure that between my lack of posts and the fact that I have gone private I have probably lost nearly all of my readers.  I find that this DOES make me post less...the knowing that people probably aren't really checking it.  I DO need to blog though, because this is less for readers and more for my kids and I.  I have a goal...I want to try to blog at least once a week.  I think I can manage that.

I am back at it.  School has started again and for the first time in my career as a teacher I am working part-time.  Part-time!  It is a HUGE blessing and has made such a difference for me.  Now, I know that I am barely into it, yet I can already tell a difference.  I have so much less stress.  Sharing the load of planning and marking with another extremely competent teacher is incredible!  My teaching partner is a great guy that gives me wonderful ideas for teaching and has good plans and work ethic.  I think we are going to work well together.  Last night we both had to be at the school for the welcome back BBQ and it was great to be able to collaborate face to face. 

This working part-time thing allows me a VERY important thing besides just less stress.  It gives me much more time with my boys!  TWO MORE ENTIRE DAYS EACH WEEK!  I am finding these days to be such a delight!  The boys are at an incredibly fun age right now.  They get along well together-most of the time!  They love to play together, and I love watching them.  They handle outings well.  They have a good routine.  They laugh...a lot!  They smother me in kisses.  My days with them are so much fun!  We have gone on adventures, we have run errands, we have simply stayed home!  It doesn't seem to matter what we do, we have a great time together.

I am so thankful that God has blessed me with an opportunity to work part-time.  I really love teaching, but I love my boys more.  This allows me to do both!
